The one inevitable thing about any shoot, is those in between times. Times when waiting is the main thing to do.
Mostly, waiting for the sun to set (or rise), the clouds to part, or the elephant to get out of the shot.
It’s fine, it’s ok. It’s actually wonderful. We loved the opportunity to take in the stillness and watch a potato field shift in hue, from green, to purple, to copper.
In the in-between times, we had a chance to watch sweetcorn grow and spend some quality time with our screens (no, we don’t always get enough) which led us to people who we’d not otherwise have had a chance meet, and who’ve become some of our new best friends.
It’s fine, it’s ok.
It’s actually wonderful.
So it was in a field of cauliflower and broccoli that we met Yuluishii and Sam Linsell, Hanlie Joubert and Mantanna Katz – online. Our collaborators of 2016 / 2017, who’ve given us more great food ideas than we’ve had meal times.
We’ve loved the projects they cooked up with us this past summer, which you can see here, here, here and here.
