More than half full
We were all dreaming of a wet summer in the growing regions of Limpopo and South Africa’s key agricultural regions. The beautiful Loskop Dam, which feeds the farms where Natures Garden vegetables grow, so badly needed it. So it just goes to show how collective dreaming can make a good thing happen.
In Limpopo dam levels are currently looking good at 58%. Last year the critically low water levels had farmers and citizens very stressed about the outlook for the year.
This year we are again concerned about these levels, but with one big difference that gives us some hope. The rains have come. Water levels keep increasing. And the outlook is that there will be more rain and water levels will continue to rise.
Long may it last.
