Life on the farm

Green: the colour of summer 2017.

Since the storm clouds gathered, and the heavens opened, and great rivers of divine irrigation swept over our farmlands in Limpopo Province, we’ve decided that leafy cauli-sage-sprout green has got to be the colour of the year.

It rained so heavily in some growing regions during the spring and summer of 2016/17, there was even a day when our potato pickers in the couldn’t get to the field to pick.

Yebo, green is the new gold. Always has been.

Go to our Pinterest boards to see more of the gardens and greens we love. And spare a moment to reflect on those parts of South Africa that desperately need rain. The Western Cape is desperate for a rainy winter, to fill the region’s dams which are now at an all time low.
