Water Update

The table highlights current water levels in the countries dams. As you can see the current levels are lower than the same time last year. This remains a significant problem, last year these water levels had us all very stressed about the outlook for the year… this year we are again concerned about these levels, but with one big difference that gives us some hope.

  • Last year the water levels came off a high base and were diminishing as a result of no rain and the outlook was that there would be no more rain in the season
  • This year the water levels came of a very low base and are increasing with the current rain we are experiencing, the outlook is that there will be more rain and water levels will continue to rise … But of course there are no guarantees
